Róisín McCluskey, Editor in Chief
The Streak Editor-in-Chief Róisín McCluskey, a senior, is a three-year Journalism student with much dedication and love for writing. They have been a bookworm since they were a young child, moving past the reading level for their age group early in life. Being an avid reader, writing came naturally to them. They easily came up with fun ideas for stories as a child, and always had opinions on things in the world around them. Of course, this made them a perfect fit for the newspaper staff. Hoping to major in English in college and pursue a career in writing, they harbored no doubt that they should join Journalism as soon as they could. Outside of Journalism, McCluskey is very involved with the Drama Club and holds the executive position of secretary. If not writing for the paper, they are acting on the stage. They have participated in six shows at the time of this writing, and plan to perform in both shows this year. They firmly believe that acting and writing go hand in hand. In their spare time, McCluskey can be found drawing, reading (probably Markus Zusak’s The Book Thief), listening to their favorite alternative bands or camping out at their best friend’s house. More times than not, they’re carrying an energy drink around in the school hallways. They’re excited for what senior year has in store for them, and cannot wait to keep writing for The Streak.
