Priscilla Lucci, Opinion Editor

Priscilla Lucci is a junior at Warren Hills Regional High School who is joining The Streak for the second year in a row, continuing her journey into Journalism as The Streak’s Opinion Section editor. Lucci is passionate about human rights and changing her school for the better. Sophomore year she created a petition against the high school’s student dress code that received more than 400 signatures, and she publicly addressed the Warren Hills Regional School District Board of Education members about the dress code at a meeting last fall. While she has never considered herself athletic or competitive, she has always worked outside of school, currently waitressing at Casola's Pizza and Grill. She enjoys makeup of all kinds, including special effects (SFX) makeup. She was the sole makeup artist on the Warren Hills safe-driving exhibit her freshman year, where students were shown the aftermath of a drunken driving incident. Lucci loves to bake breads, cookies and cakes for her friends and family birthdays, as well as bringing her friends homemade desserts and treats. She has since begun selling her baked goods and turning over a profit. She loves relaxing and swimming with her friends. She plans on earning a culinary degree, preferably in New York, and aspires to be a pastry chef. Lucci says that she cannot wait to continue her journey as a journalist for The Streak and finish her Journalism Pathway for graduation.
