Anaya Martinez, Staff Reporter
Anaya Martinez is a senior at Warren Hills Regional High School, and this is her first year in Journalism. She has always been interested in writing. She is creative and imaginative, and she uses those traits to write stories and poems in her spare time. Martinez loves to play video games, hang out with family and friends, and enjoy social media. She also enjoys reading as a hobby; it gives her a source of comfort, and she mainly likes reading stories online. Also, Martinez listens to a variety of music genres. Music is something that she cherishes in her heart, and she listens to music daily and likes to discover new songs weekly. She finds news writing interesting and fun. She feels that she’s a strong writer, and when picking out her elective classes, she discovered Journalism to be a good challenge in improving her writing skills. She is also excited to learn about new topics. Martinez says that she thinks Journalism will be fun, and she would love to use the class to learn more about Warren Hills Regional High School and its activities. She is a part of the Horizons Club’s Student Literary and Arts Magazine (SLAM), where she takes part in the Poetry Slams and shares her writings with other members.
