Sophia Belmonte is a junior and a first-year Journalism student at Warren Hills Regional High School. Belmonte strives to be better overall with her writing and to venture into discovering her writing abilities. She hopes that this new start in her writing career can open her up to new opportunities in the future. Belmonte has been a part of the Warren Hills Cheerleading Team for four years now and is currently starting the 2023-2024 season with high determination. You can find Belmonte in the hallways with a pep in her step, always looking for a friend to strike up a conversation with. In class, Belmonte tries her best to seem approachable and attentive. When Belmonte’s at home, she is most likely cuddling with her cat, Charlie. Otherwise, she is out and about with her friends. Belmonte is the youngest and the only girl in her family, with an older brother who is 22, currently employed at a fabric factory in Minnesota. Her biggest supporter is her Mom, Holly Belmonte, who is a successful Esthetician. Belmonte works to make her Mom proud and hopefully make it to college someday. She is not currently set on a specific college, but she leans toward having a career in writing. Other than her short-term goals, Belmonte wishes to travel the world and seek the most beautiful and scenic mountains. She is absolutely thrilled to see what this year brings her.
