On October 5, 2024 the National Honor Society hosted their first ever Haunted Hills at Warren Hills Regional High School.
This Event that the National Honor Society put together was to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness.
Many clubs and sports teams helped out with this event to make it what an amazing event it was.
There were over 27 actors in 7 different scare rooms. Each one of them had their own experience with the Haunted Hills.
“It was cool to see Warren Hills turned into a haunted house and was also really fun to be apart of the scare team” said Sophomore Carli Mesissner “I was in the doll room with Shivya Desai, Senior, and Kayleigh Weiss, Sophomore, and it was an awesome time to be with them in the room and scaring everyone that walked in”
Many of the guests were freaked out by the reality of a haunted house.
“I was definitely spooked when walking through the haunted hills”. Said Junior Emma Summitt “I loved seeing all the actors dressed up and being in character, especially because I knew some of them”
There were so many guests that had a favorite part of the haunted hills and thought they played their part perfectly.
“I would say I was scared during the Haunted Hills. My favorite part would
have to be after the cemetery room the actors chasing me and banging on the lockers and locker room door” said Junior Brandon Anema
A lot of planning and hard work was put into this event from the National Honor
Society Team.
It didn’t matter if it was getting props ready, laying out the format of the haunted hills, setting up the gyms and the cafeteria the night before and the morning of.
The National Honor Society came together and got everything ready for their big event. From the eyes of the creator of the event she was proud to have a hardworking team behind her.
“I would say Haunted Hills lived up to what I envisioned,’ Said Senior Priscilla Lucci “There were over 300 people at the door and the line kept going. I was so proud of the effort that everyone put in and I was so glad that all the hard work paid off to help Breast Cancer Awareness”
There is no doubt that the Nation Honor Society pulled off a great event to start the year off.
“I am so incredibly proud of all the NHS members that came together to pull off such a wonderful event for an amazing cause. This will truly go down as one I’m most proud of.” said National Honor Society Advisor Emily Kablis
In all the Nation Honor Society is beyond speechless of how their first big event of the year came all together. Especially for a great cause. And they are excited to see what is ahead for the group.
