Best Buddies’ Hosts Annual Match Party

Warren Hills Best Buddies’ officers welcome new and returning members for their annual Match Party in the library Oct. 13. The Best Buddies mission is to create one-to-one friendships between students with and without disabilities. Members were told about the importance of their roles and events within the meeting, before meeting their peer buddies. Best Buddies Faculty Adviser Toni Manfra said, “The Match Party is a way to bring our entire membership together at the beginning of the year to start developing meaningful relationships. Officers explain the Best Buddies mission, review the roles and responsibilities of buddies, peer buddies, and associate members, and then introduce our calendar of events.” After learning about the club, everyone socializes and plays board games before official matches are determined at the end of the month.
