Warren Hills Middle School Eighth Grader Echo Picone participates in online learning while at home. Three days a week Echo logs onto Google Meet and takes classes online from the safety of her own home in Washington. COVID-19 has prevented Echo from going to school due in part to her personal health concerns and also out of concern for the health of her family. The pandemic is keeping students all around the country out of school this year. “I wish I could go to school and see my friends, but I get that this is what’s best, and I try not to let it get me down too much,” Echo said.
