Art teacher Vittoria Signeona had her Intermediate Arts students draw their self-portraits this fall for their portfolios. Drawing themselves is a long process that takes a few weeks to complete. Just as with most anything they draw, they use grid lines so everything is proportional. Senior Meryn McFarland said it takes a good amount of concentration to draw. “You need to focus without any distractions,” she said. “It helps to have music.” The self-portraits will be posted in the art wing right before winter break.
