Renée Simeus is a sophomore at Warren Hills Regional High School. This is her first year writing for The Streak. She enjoys political and journalistic writing. She is also a varsity cheerleader for both the sideline and competition teams. She made it to finals at the National High School Cheerleading Championship and placed within the top 10 best teams in the nation her freshman year in the Large Varsity Division Two.

Simeus considers herself extremely outgoing and has a loud personality. She loves meeting new people and trying out new things. One of the most important things to her are her grades. She works to get the best grades possible while taking one College Prep class, three Honors classes and one Advanced Placement course.

She is passionate about politics and law, and she hopes to attend the City University of New York’s John Jay College of Criminal Justice to double major in forensic psychology and law. She hopes to live in Chicago or New York to pursue a career working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and then possibly run for a seat in Congress.

When she has free time outside of school, clubs, and cheer, Simeus loves to sit back and relax while watching Netflix and/or YouTube in her room. She also loves to read books and listen to music.
