Gianna Marinelli, Staff Reporter
As a senior at Warren Hills Regional High School, Gianna Marinelli has a deep appreciation for nature and music as well as a commitment to her family, friends and community. She started her journey in Bangor, PA, where she admired the natural beauty of the Pocono Mountains, before moving to Washington, NJ, and finding other trails in the area. Marinelli soon realized her passion for environmental conservation. She hopes through her joining Student Council, Peer Leadership and Journalism this year that she can help others realize the value of our Earth’s health. Outside of school, Marinelli excels on the softball field; she plays shortstop for the high school varsity team and last year batted fourth in the line-up. On the field in Nazareth, PA, Marinelli traveled with the PA Outlaws, playing middle infield and outfield. Although the love of the sport drives her to continue playing, she also loves the feeling of being on a team and working together for a common goal. Being very dedicated to the sport, Marinelli plans on playing in college, with her dream school being DeSales University in eastern Pennsylvania. Despite her busy schedule, Marinelli always finds time to spend time with friends and family; she wants to cherish every moment shared with those she loves. Whether hiking, watching movies or simply enjoying a meal together, Marinelli feels it is important to hold onto the little moments, for these are what create our lives.
