Boys’ Lacrosse Starts Hot in 2023 Season

Warren Hills Boys’ Lacrosse players excitedly crowd around Head Coach Patrick Kablis as they start the 2023 season with an impressive record of 5 wins and 1 loss. “Although most of the teams we have played so far are senior class heavy, we’ve done pretty well,” said varsity goalie Dylan Duerring, a sophomore. “I’m definitely excited for this year to continue and the following years to come, because we will only get better from here.” The team mostly consists of sophomores and freshmen, but they are able to hold their own, and opponents learned quickly not to take them lightly. They have overpowered teams like Hackettstown, Phillipsburg, High Point, Newton and Lenape Valley. “The boys are buzzing, and since we all have played together since we were young, we click,” said varsity defender Brock Duerring, also a sophomore. Added sophomore John Korczukowski, a varsity midfielder, “Our offense is able to rack up goals, and hopefully we can win the Pooley Division this year.” All three players said that this year’s team embraces high hopes and their confidence is high.
