FFA Students Attend Careers Event on Environmentalism
FFA students (in the background) from a variety of New Jersey schools visit exhibit tables as part of their participation in competitions during The Environmental and Natural Resources Career Development Event at Rutgers University April 20. Four students from Warren Hills’ FFA chapter – seniors Justin Daniel and Mia Ganter, along with junior Jack Speth and freshman Collin Case – competed in different competitions while representing Warren Hills. This event was designed to help students learn about skills they will need to go into professional fields related to environmental science. “I really enjoyed having the opportunity to practice a career that I am interested in,” Daniel said. “It was cool to do it with peers from around the state that have similar future plans as me. I ended up learning a lot and had a great experience.” All four students said they felt that the event helped them gain necessary knowledge on the subject.
