Field Hockey Bids Farewell to Winning 2022 Season

Varsity Head Coach Josephine Potter announces the recipients of player awards distributed Dec. 6 at the Warren Hills Field Hockey Team’s end-of-season banquet at Sports Scene Restaurant at Oakwood Lanes in Washington. Players received awards and recognition for their efforts during the 17-4 winning season. Coach MaryAnn Higgins first spoke about the Junior Varsity season. She thanked the team for giving her a warm welcome into her first coaching experience, saying, “I loved it, I loved working with everyone on the team. We had a very successful year and I’m proud of the progress all of the players made.” Potter and Higgins shared responsibilities in announcing the recipients of Offensive Award, Defensive Award, Coaches Award and Most Valuable Player Award. They also gave out varsity letters to the players who earned them. This year’s Offensive Award was given to juniors Sarah Salameh and Gianna Cioni. The Defensive Award went to junior Sydney White, the Coaches Award was given to junior Hailey Hoffman, and sophomore Shivya Desai earned the MVP Award.
