WH Staff Assist Football Team as Guest Coaches

Staff members Nicole Bayer and Jacque-Lyn Valese serve as guest coaches with the Warren Hills Football Team for the home game against Newton High School Sept. 2. Head Coach Marcus Gurdineer has encouraged teachers, aides and other Warren Hills staff members to serve as guest coaches at all home games and to attend at least one football practice. “Our players are coached extremely hard,” Gurdineer told potential guest coaches before the start of the football season, “and practices can get intense at points, so I hope you see how hard our student-athletes work.” Each guest coach is asked to give the team a pep talk and watch a home game while on the sidelines with the football team. Other school staff members who have planned to participate in the guest-coach program are High School Principal Christopher Kavcak, Special Education Supervisor Mary Louise Rowlin, Shawnee Bourenko of Special Services, Computer Science Teacher Daryl Detrick, and English teachers Kevin Horn and Andy Oakley.
