Under ominous clouds, runners of the Warren Hills Track and Field Team warm up April 2 before their first multi-team home meet of the 2022 track season. Practices began in early March, and on April 2 the athletes were able to participate in an official meet. The boys’ and girls’ teams were led by boys’ Captain Ryan Shulman and girls’ captains Grace Tirabassi and Erin Carroll, all seniors. Both Tirabassi and Carroll placed in their events. Carroll took second place in the 200-meter run, and Tirabassi placed third in the 1600-meter run and second in the 3200-meter race. Overall, the girls placed fourth in the meet and the boys finished in fifth. Team members have high hopes for the rest of the season and hope their hard work in preseason pays off. “I’m excited for the team’s performance this upcoming track season,” said junior runner Bridget McGrath. “Everyone has been working very hard and I hope for lots of personal records this season.” (Photo by Bailey Thompson)
