Hofstra University is gaining a great player on their Division I field hockey team, Simryn Desai. In sixth grade Desai started playing for a recreational field hockey team when some of her friends were playing and convinced her to try. With many accomplishments Desai says that her favorites are scoring 100 career points, winning sectionals all four years of high school, and getting recognized at the state levels for two years of her high school years. Playing this all four years of high school, Desai will miss the chemistry between her teammates and the close knit group they became. “The whole field hockey senior class will also be playing field hockey in college and I look forward to following them along their college careers,”  she said.
