Virtual Valentine’s Day with Best Buddies
Warren Hills Regional High School’s Best Buddies club celebrates St. Valentine’s Day online with a crafting activity. The club made Valentine’s Day cards to give to family, friends or local nursing homes. Members were asked to bring markers, paper, stickers and any other craft supplies they needed to make the cards. Senior Emily Gilligan, chapter president, gathered supplies to make craft packs for every member. Gilligan then guided a demonstration on how to assemble a puppy heart. “I really enjoyed spending time with my friends while doing a fun Valentine’s Day craft at the same time,” said junior Dimitra Georgoutsos. While not being able to host big group parties to celebrate holidays during COVID-19 restrictions, the Best Buddies have been using their technology resources to keep a strong connection. Keep your eye out for the upcoming virtual Friendship Walk on Thursday, May 13.
