A Taco Bell restaurant is apparently coming to West Washington Avenue (State Route 57) at the corner with South Lincoln Avenue in Washington. There have been meetings at Washington Boro Hall about the plans for Taco Bell. The meetings have talked about location, lighting, and what impact the restaurant could have in Washington. Officials have debated how much a Taco Bell location on Route 57 could affect, both positively and negatively, other businesses in the surrounding area. No date was available on when construction of the restaurant might begin. Taco Bell officials say that the number of their restaurants in the world has grown steadily over eight years, from about 5,900 in 2010 to about 7,100 in 2018. (Photo by Cullen Tiger)
