One of Hills’ newest clubs, GlamourGals, is wrapping up the 2018-2019 school year by graduating some of its founding members: Elizabeth Donnelly, Danielle Marzigliano, Jeanne Riano, Gigi Ali, Amanda Kilyk and Sofia Goldfarb.  GlamourGals, a service club whose members visit and provide companionship for the elderly, has become an important part of the blue streak experience for some and for those pictured here, especially.

Club advisor Julia Henning writes, “These senior officers, along with many other faithful members, started our school’s GlamourGals chapter at the beginning of their sophomore year and as officers, have seen it through the development and growth stages which brought it to a club of over 35 members that make monthly companionship and makeover visits to the senior citizens at Warren Haven Nursing Home.  Since inception, this service club has held 23 events at the nursing home, providing companionship to approximately 25-30 or more seniors at each event, thus providing hundreds of encouraging visits to isolated elderly women in our community in a very impactful way.  These senior officers have been steadily training underclassmen members to take over their leadership roles.”

As well as this, a blog post done by senior Jeanne Riano’s was featured on the GlamourGals national website.  The entry details the impact a recent visit had on her and the ladies she visited.  See link: https://www.glamourgals.org/blog2/im-getting-a-new-nail-color-today
