A'Liyaan Mian is a senior and it’s his first year on the Warren Hills newspaper staff. Mian has lived his entire life in New York and just recently moved to New Jersey. While in New York he studied his elementary education at The Kew Gardens School, followed by The Vincent Fowler Elementary School. He continued his middle school education at The Osmond Church Middle School in Queens. While studying at The Osmond Church Middle School, his interest in forensic science began after he went on a school trip to witness in real time a court case unfold at the Queens County Court.

Mian was accepted into the CTEA (Construction, Technology, Engineering and Architecture) High School with a focus on engineering as his major. Mian also joined the forensics club at CTEA High School for a semester.

He has always wanted to pursue a career in engineering or law enforcement and hopes to be able to combine both interests in his pursuit of the same. Mian’s hobbies are playing video games, swimming, watching movies, hiking and playing soccer. This being his last year in high school, Mian plans on going to Rutgers University to pursue his career goals and eventually become an FBI agent.
