On Sunday, April 15, 2018, the Warren Hills FFA team consisting of Sarah Chaplain, Devon Meshah, Victoria Burd, and Brittany Smith competed in the NJ FFA Horse Evaluation Career Development Event. The team swept the competition and took First Place. The team is now eligible to compete at The Big E (Eastern States Exposition) in Springfield, MA in September and the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis in October. Individually Brittany Smith placed 3rd, Victoria Burd placed 4th, Devyn Meshach placed 7th, and Sarah Chaplain placed 10th. In this competition the team judged eight different classes of horses (with and without riders), gave oral reasons on their placing of 4 classes, completed a written test on the equine industry, identified horse breeds, tack, medicine, and disorders affecting horses.
